Honoring Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month ๐Ÿค

Dr. Marika Raff • October 7, 2025

Every loss is unique. Every story matters. Every life is remembered.

Pregnancy and infant loss touches far too many families, yet it remains one of the most silent forms of grief. Every October, during Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, we pause to remember and honor the babies who left us too soon — and to support the families who carry their memory every day. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’—

Loss can happen in many ways — miscarriage, stillbirth, ectopic pregnancy, neonatal loss, SIDS, or loss following IVF or fertility treatment. Each experience is deeply personal, and every story matters. There is no “right” way to grieve, and no timeline for healing.

At Caperton Fertility Institute, we stand with all families who have experienced loss. Whether your journey toward parenthood has included loss, infertility, or both, please know that you are not alone. Your baby’s life — no matter how brief — is remembered and honored.

Breaking the Silence Around Pregnancy & Infant Loss ๐ŸŒธ

For too long, pregnancy and infant loss has been a quiet sorrow carried in private. By raising awareness, we aim to create open conversations, compassionate support, and healing connections.

We encourage families, friends, and communities to:

  • Acknowledge and validate the grief of those who have experienced loss.
  • Say their baby’s name, if the family wishes — every child deserves to be remembered.
  • Light a candle on October 15th, the global Wave of Light, to honor the lives gone too soon.
  • Reach out — a simple message or gesture can mean the world to someone who is grieving.

Holding Space for Hope and Healing ๐Ÿ’œ

At Caperton Fertility Institute, our team understands that loss can be a part of the fertility journey. We are committed to providing compassionate care, emotional support, and personalized fertility treatment for those ready to try again — when and if they feel ready.

This month, we raise awareness, break the silence, and hold space for hope, remembrance, and healing.

โœจ If you’ve experienced loss, we see you. We’re here for you. ๐Ÿ’œ
